Lazing weekend...

It's Sunday again! Oh my...

Last weekend had 2 great dinner with my family & at Aunty Lulu's house, both were for celebrating Father's Day. =)

Then on Monday, I accompanied my Dad to Changi hospital for his regular check-up. He had 2 appointment, first at 9.50am then another one at 3.30pm., I was thinking what is he going to do in order to kill a few hrs in between while waiting for the next appt. He told me at first that he is going to walk around at Eastpoint mall, Simei. I was struggling a bit initially when I was at office that morning whether to accompany him or not because I had some paperwork to do especially Monday morning after meeting, then I thought Simei was a little bit far from here. My Dad also asked me not to go...... but wait, I have never accompany my dad to doctor as far as I remember(yeah, I am bad...), and I really don't think distance should be an excuse at all! So I went to look for him around lunch time and am glad that I did so.

Daddy's Parkinson has worsen since dunno when. His legs, hands tremble without much ability to control, his eyes seems getting smaller & smaller that's because he twitch constantly. Though his check-up are like once a month or some once every 3 months, he practically need to check every part of his body. And every part requires different specialists at different clinic! Sad to say, I don't know about this at all. I always thought one doctor does it all... mighty huh? A few parts I can named, eye, heart, Parkinson, legs, physiotherapy etc.

Is this a definite process for everyone who grows old? Sickness + more sickness =(

I sat there with him for like 2 hrs plus gossiping, chit chatting, it was nice. Though the appointment given was 3.30pm, but we waited till nearly 4.30pm to see the doctor for less than 15 min =_='''. I can understand though, a lot of patients were waiting patiently and I don't see anyone complaining so is my dad. Therefore I think it's common for them because it's like a monthly thing, just like we will miss our menses for 1, 2 or sometimes more days than expected...

After seeing the doctor, we went to collect the medicine. The amount of medicine for my dad were like wooo.... a lot!! But dad, a major way of controlling & healing your sickness is by swallowing them, so please 忍一忍吧....

Beside having to eat them, the cost of it is not cheap as well! After deducting from medisave, he still have to pay from his own pocket. That more or less going to affect my spending habits, in a good way.

I would really like to thank our government for imposing any rules to our cpf & medisave(though I don't really know the rules =p). It kinda of force us to save and come on, unless you are damn sure that you will live as a super wealthy man loaded with ton of money in bank more than enough for you to eat, drink, dress decently, travel a bit to see the 'world'(actually when you are old, you really think you still can walk and shop? Perhaps only want to feel and know/hao lian that you've been there), see doctor for regular check-up, cure unforeseeable sickness, feed your unfilial children who doesn't want to work(I really hope that doesn't happen to anyone). Then don't curse & swear at our government for enforcing such rules which so far I can only think of it's benefits! Just imagine for retiring at the age of 62 and live till 75, you've got a good 13 yrs to either enjoy life or continue slogging. I don't decide whether your cpf money is enough for your retiree life, but at least if you have work constantly throughout and your employer contributes the stated sum, it should be good enough. Touch wood, if anything were to happen to you physically, at least you still have your medisave to fall on, might not be enough but still the same saying, better than nothing!

Whatever it is, I hope every parents who had their hard-earned money spent on their dear children to have them take care and dote on as much as they did for us... ^_^

 Dad & I......

Nice dinner with them.....

This yr's World cup in South Africa is not as frenzy compared to previous as I observed.  The atmosphere is just not so right and comfortable, I used to find WC a major major event in life and feels so excited about it. Watching with friends at pubs or their houses with loads of tidbits and cheer for whichever team, it was fun. But somehow just don't feel like it anymore, probably because people say you won't feel the kick of it when you don't gamble. Anyway, watching is good but gambling really does nothing good instead ruining one's life. I really hope lesser and lesser people getting their fingers burnt.

Watched Toy Story 3 yesterday at yishun ten. There was this Indian father who brought his kids, one girl and one younger boy to the show but was chased out by the booing audience shortly after the show start. Reason being the son was crying at the top of his shirking voice for I don't know how long, he was crying when we enter the cinema and I know a lot people like us were trying to endure and see if the crying would miraculously stop. Obviously it didn't, so one man went out to get the usher while some of them jeered and asked him to bring his son out. The poor Indian father had no choice but to oblige and leaving the cinema without watching the show. I do pity him and the little girl(maybe the show was her present for scoring A in tamil =p), but I don't think anyone would want to watch a show under that circumstances. Well, I can suggest the father to buy popcorn, DVD and watch it with them at home. No one will bother your son and let him cry in the toilet(if required) for all he want!

Oh back to the show, I can't remember when was the last time I watched it, part one or two. I can only vaguely recalled that I watched it on TV that's all.

It is a funny, heart-warming movie that you would love apart from other animation. And I decided to buy part 1 & 2, woohoo! I heart Woody! The part that I felt the most was Andy is leaving for college and he gave his toys up, he held Woody and said a lot of touching lines lah!  (yeah I cried, so?)

Go watch now!!! =)
Tonight got exciting matches.. Go England!! =p
Shall watch if I able to stay awake... then stay as a zombie for the rest of the week? Who cares! It's nce in every 4 yrs leh!!!

But the fact is next week probably going to be a busier week, hopefully Monday Blue monster stays away from me as far as he can!!!

Good week ahead people! Work hard & Cheers!
