Lazing weekend...

It's Sunday again! Oh my...

Last weekend had 2 great dinner with my family & at Aunty Lulu's house, both were for celebrating Father's Day. =)

Then on Monday, I accompanied my Dad to Changi hospital for his regular check-up. He had 2 appointment, first at 9.50am then another one at 3.30pm., I was thinking what is he going to do in order to kill a few hrs in between while waiting for the next appt. He told me at first that he is going to walk around at Eastpoint mall, Simei. I was struggling a bit initially when I was at office that morning whether to accompany him or not because I had some paperwork to do especially Monday morning after meeting, then I thought Simei was a little bit far from here. My Dad also asked me not to go...... but wait, I have never accompany my dad to doctor as far as I remember(yeah, I am bad...), and I really don't think distance should be an excuse at all! So I went to look for him around lunch time and am glad that I did so.

Daddy's Parkinson has worsen since dunno when. His legs, hands tremble without much ability to control, his eyes seems getting smaller & smaller that's because he twitch constantly. Though his check-up are like once a month or some once every 3 months, he practically need to check every part of his body. And every part requires different specialists at different clinic! Sad to say, I don't know about this at all. I always thought one doctor does it all... mighty huh? A few parts I can named, eye, heart, Parkinson, legs, physiotherapy etc.

Is this a definite process for everyone who grows old? Sickness + more sickness =(

I sat there with him for like 2 hrs plus gossiping, chit chatting, it was nice. Though the appointment given was 3.30pm, but we waited till nearly 4.30pm to see the doctor for less than 15 min =_='''. I can understand though, a lot of patients were waiting patiently and I don't see anyone complaining so is my dad. Therefore I think it's common for them because it's like a monthly thing, just like we will miss our menses for 1, 2 or sometimes more days than expected...

After seeing the doctor, we went to collect the medicine. The amount of medicine for my dad were like wooo.... a lot!! But dad, a major way of controlling & healing your sickness is by swallowing them, so please 忍一忍吧....

Beside having to eat them, the cost of it is not cheap as well! After deducting from medisave, he still have to pay from his own pocket. That more or less going to affect my spending habits, in a good way.

I would really like to thank our government for imposing any rules to our cpf & medisave(though I don't really know the rules =p). It kinda of force us to save and come on, unless you are damn sure that you will live as a super wealthy man loaded with ton of money in bank more than enough for you to eat, drink, dress decently, travel a bit to see the 'world'(actually when you are old, you really think you still can walk and shop? Perhaps only want to feel and know/hao lian that you've been there), see doctor for regular check-up, cure unforeseeable sickness, feed your unfilial children who doesn't want to work(I really hope that doesn't happen to anyone). Then don't curse & swear at our government for enforcing such rules which so far I can only think of it's benefits! Just imagine for retiring at the age of 62 and live till 75, you've got a good 13 yrs to either enjoy life or continue slogging. I don't decide whether your cpf money is enough for your retiree life, but at least if you have work constantly throughout and your employer contributes the stated sum, it should be good enough. Touch wood, if anything were to happen to you physically, at least you still have your medisave to fall on, might not be enough but still the same saying, better than nothing!

Whatever it is, I hope every parents who had their hard-earned money spent on their dear children to have them take care and dote on as much as they did for us... ^_^

 Dad & I......

Nice dinner with them.....

This yr's World cup in South Africa is not as frenzy compared to previous as I observed.  The atmosphere is just not so right and comfortable, I used to find WC a major major event in life and feels so excited about it. Watching with friends at pubs or their houses with loads of tidbits and cheer for whichever team, it was fun. But somehow just don't feel like it anymore, probably because people say you won't feel the kick of it when you don't gamble. Anyway, watching is good but gambling really does nothing good instead ruining one's life. I really hope lesser and lesser people getting their fingers burnt.

Watched Toy Story 3 yesterday at yishun ten. There was this Indian father who brought his kids, one girl and one younger boy to the show but was chased out by the booing audience shortly after the show start. Reason being the son was crying at the top of his shirking voice for I don't know how long, he was crying when we enter the cinema and I know a lot people like us were trying to endure and see if the crying would miraculously stop. Obviously it didn't, so one man went out to get the usher while some of them jeered and asked him to bring his son out. The poor Indian father had no choice but to oblige and leaving the cinema without watching the show. I do pity him and the little girl(maybe the show was her present for scoring A in tamil =p), but I don't think anyone would want to watch a show under that circumstances. Well, I can suggest the father to buy popcorn, DVD and watch it with them at home. No one will bother your son and let him cry in the toilet(if required) for all he want!

Oh back to the show, I can't remember when was the last time I watched it, part one or two. I can only vaguely recalled that I watched it on TV that's all.

It is a funny, heart-warming movie that you would love apart from other animation. And I decided to buy part 1 & 2, woohoo! I heart Woody! The part that I felt the most was Andy is leaving for college and he gave his toys up, he held Woody and said a lot of touching lines lah!  (yeah I cried, so?)

Go watch now!!! =)

Lotsa of feast!!!

Just had curry fish head with Sim's family, yummilicious!
(little Carls kept pulling his shorts down showing off his spiderman's brief to people! *fainted*)

Yeah, another weekend coming! Though these few weekends seems very busy and almost all of the both days were fully occupied, but still can't deny the fact that the word 'weekend' make one feel high and happy! Woohoo! ^_^

Tomorrow is Sat, we are going to my sister's house to celebrate dom's bday 20th June and coincidentally  father's day falls on the same day! We are going to have a feast, yeah!!

Dom and sis are going to cook i-dunno-what, but I trust their cooking skills & believe they will not be stingy in buying ingredients or whatsoever. For me & ah lar, I volunteered to order 727 Durian cake & crab, heez heez, also becos I wanted to eat crab lah! =p

Anyway no matter what, eating with family is a happy occasion for me! Nowadays, everyone is busy with their own things, so usually meals are settle hastily...
Eating together probably is the only chance one family can get together and talked about what is happening around, chit chat and laugh around... Hopefully tomorrow everyone will have an enjoyable day! =)

On Sunday, we are going to Aunty Lulu's house for another feast! A gathering for Sharon who will be returning to States a few days later, will miss you & your signature smile! =D
It's another potluck which we least expect and anticipate becos the last potluck wasn't so nice compared to the last few feasts we had there...=X (we are bringing mini curry puffs!)

Nonetheless, with the laughter of the adults, kids & babies, it will definitely be a wonderful & warming gathering... c",)

Hmm, will blog about my 2 upcoming feasts after I take the pictures, gobble the food and poo out in the loo! =X

Ok, shall share some pictures!  Try to enjoy even if you don't... =p

Another day at Jusco during the weekend, waiting patiently for our food at Kenny Rogers! =)

Here comes our feast!!!

Food was alright, but really very cheap compare to sg(all our food on the table only cost us RM59 after Amex card discount) and the selections are wide enough...

Baked potatoes with lotsa of cream, corns and spring onions! It looked better than it tasted though...=p

How can we end the trip with eating our favourite, Baskin Robbins! (basket! When I don't shoot, no one walk close. When I take out my phone trying to take pic, all swamped in!)

I chosen Mango flavour. Too sweet for me...

Unanimously, we labeled it as the  '周星驰' smile! My dear, you're sooo cute,  muacks!

Nerdy yet handsome... Can't stand people who is natural born good looking... =_=

On the way back lo! Had a tiring day... =)

Last but not least, wish everyone a wonderful & pleasant weekend! =p

Oh, want to share a last picture which I find quite interesting...

Corridor of the new hospital opening soon in yishun named "Khoo Teck Puat" . This hospital is my customer, it's not officially open to public yet.

I just find this pic a little eerie, imagine soon there will be alive and dead patients being push around in stretchers along this corridor...

(Wish of the week: Sales figure is deteriorating, people people come come buy plates, spoons, bowl from me ya?)

Here comes Mr Sickly June? =_=

Just came back from work and finished bathing.

Actually was thinking to update my blog tml nite but my hands still reaches out for my little travel mate telling me it's time to share something on my imperfection world....

May was a tired yet enjoyable month. I shall start from beginning of it then...

As mentioned on previous post, I had attended Aaron's concert on 7th May,

 On the way!

Double check that I had brought along the tickets =D

The 450 degree stage was covered by this big poster.

Here he comes! =D

The 450 degree Guinness world record stage!

An up close pic of Aaron standing on top of the stage

He also sat on the stage!

A full view of the magnificent stage...

I dun like this outfit, make him look fat! =p

It was a wonderful night. After that we headed to Upp Thomson to have our roti prata & maggie goreng at prata house

Oh! Not forgetting to share a video of the concert, a song that started it all... *wink*

Enjoy!

During the mid-may, it was another battle begin after the FHA ends, which was the Annual company warehouse sales!! Damn tiring lor!!

Everyday from 17th onwards, all sales person has to go back after normal working hours to do set up and from 20th to 23rd we have to work from 9am to 9pm! *fainted*

But luckily, everything is over now & looking back was quite a fun experience actually...=D

Managed to capture some shots!

So well organized. All effort was paid off!

We actually provide self-assembled trolleys for customer's buying, thoughtful huh!

I was "managing" one of the less profitable counter therefore no need to replenish stocks as often compared to others! Hee...=p

On the First day of the official warehouse sales 20th May to 23rd May 2010 from 10am to 8pm. Can you imagine people were queuing up even before our gate open?

I was like "OMG, what are these people thinking??" Our office is located at pandan road, read carefully! PANDAN ROAD leh! I am like cursing and swearing almost every morning when driving to work thinking that it takes about 60 mins to reach!!(plus traffic jam)

And guess what? The ratio of open air parking lot to customers coming to Sia Huat are like 1:10!
Meaning to say, they were risking of getting a summon for parking at double yellow line, $70! (to add on the misery, the "fatimah" there are super super prompt as if they slept there the night before, they always chose to appear when our warehouse sales are at it's busiest peak or when we having hourly special! Hahaha)

Yes I am laughing out loud! HAHAHAHA! And those people who came some drove Mercz 350, BMW X5, VOLVO S40, carrying Hermes, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Fendi etc. What are these people thinking actually? We even got customers who came everyday, buying large quantity each time. Moreover the scale of the warehouse sales was much smaller than last yr according to the veterans. Why don't they just buy at one shot?We provide free delivery service above $500 purchase but they rather bring loads of big bag home everyday by themselves! =_=''

Actually I am quite guilty about bad mouthing them because they brought cakes, sweets, bread coffees along when they come.(of course for the "senior" people there lah, cannot be bringing for someone like me who just join for 2 mths right? but still get to eat lah!)

Most of them are very very loyal customers of Sia Huat & as part of our company, I do appreciate their kindness. Therefore, despite the risk of getting fired, some advice to all the people who went to our warehouse sales....

1) There is no need to queue early in the morning outside the gate!

Reason: we got plenty of stocks for most of the items, will replenish one, don worry out of stock!)

2) Wear dark colours clothes and preferably lesser cloth the better.

Reason: Do you know what does warehouse sales means?
Digging out the old stocks that had stored for a LONG LONG time ago in some dark corners probably with lizards or cockroach eggs and its without aircon, only a few powerless fans. So don't wear your Burberry's, Polo Ralph, Chanel, Prada etc if you don't want them to end up being dusty and smelly!

3) Better come last few days than first few days.

Reason: Hmm, usually the nice and super "wu hua" things are kept and only lelong on last 2 days to keep the customers staying. So try your luck!

4) Don't come at all! =/

Reason: Actually the things aren't really cheaper compare to the price loyal customers are getting.(you all should know what i mean lah) Most of the designs are very outdated and can get cheaper elsewhere.(if you know where)

(Disclaimer: whatever that was written above concerning Sia Huat is by... hmm... Shrek! Therefore Mr Shrek will solely hold full responsibility towards any accusation or legal action that may take place.)
Actually there are still some very good buy at the warehouse sales if you know where and how to find lah...=p

Sumptuous breakfast on the first day before the battle starts...

The good morning towel that were distributed to everyone for our smelly sweat! got one customer can't help herself and came up to me and said: "you're really cute, like a tow kay!" Hahaha, do you think so?

My super shag face taken after about only 4 hrs of the sales started... all the glow gone! =( money is not easy to earn, sob sob...

Shall end the warehouse sales part with a heart warming pic. My boss Mr CB Tan is 60 yrs old on 22nd May, so we had a cake cutting section in the morning on that day. After distributing the cake, Mr Tan was enjoying it with his beautiful wife Amy and they both really looked very happy and contented... Hopefully this is what me and future husband will be...(hmm, as rich as them as well can? =p)

After all the tiring events, finally it comes to the long weekend that we are looking forward to...

Therefore we took a day off on 27th May(one day before Vesak day) to Bintan!!!

I had never been there before, heard that Bintan is a water sport paradise! But erm, probably because we went at a low peak season therefore not much crowd.
Actually not too many people also good, we can enjoy the peace & quiet beach almost all by ourselves!

Some pictures below, enjoy!

Early in the morning setting off lo!

Acting cute in the car while driving to breakfast!

Our breakfast before the ferry

He was like saying:"we are going to be late for the ferry!"

Ok, driving to Taneh Merah ferry terminal lo! (dunno wat is he looking at??)

Faster! We going to miss the Indera Bupala!(the name of the ferry)

Actually quite a lot of people what, where did they disappear to after reaching Nirwana? Hmm...

Showing his buay song face while I shoot & shoot...

Our ferry "Indera Bupala"

Nice workers lending a helping hand to visitors

Cam-whoring on the ferry!

Little counter selling tidbits & drinks, but very expensive i guess...

Hmm, what is attracting his attention? Ans: TV

Beautiful view on the sea...

 Bintan resort Brochure

Vessels on the sea...

Asked him to pose an ugly face but he acted a cute one instead, cheater! =x

Nothing to do, therefore another shot! =D

Engrossed in playing Angry Bird trying to get 3 stars for all stages!

Sunshine after the rain... c",)

Still playing upon reaching, =_=

Here we come, Bintan Resort!

On the bus to Nirwana Resort, looking at restaurants brochures.

Mr Suave...(niang lor! )

Beautiful Koi pond...

Palm trees, palm trees & more palm trees...

Our "free" lunch... shall not elaborate, right ah lar? Heez...

Giant Chess!

Giant snake & ladder with erm, chess?

Nice view with nice hunk?

Posing in the room wor... New spokesperson for Nirwana?

Basic bathing set courtsey of Nirwana Resort. (the glass is from Arcoroc, our supplier in Sia Huat)

Probably the ugliest looking bedroom slippers I've ever seen. Wearable though...=)

Kayak time! I simply can't open my eyes as the sun was too bright!

After several attempts, I still couldn't open my eyes! (and also due to the fact that my eyes are small in the first place =_=''')

Cam-whoring after returning to the room from kayak!

Yah, we were abit disappointed for not taking any pictures of the beach and when we were kayaking, reason being my camera wasn't water-proof, we don't have any friends going with us and the people on the beach can be count using my 2 hands.  So I consoled ah lar by saying"though we dun have much pictures, we enjoyed the beach, the fine sand, watching you capsizing and clear blue sea water!" =p

View from our window...

Our breakfast in the next morning. Doesn't look appealing but actually it was quite delicious. I like the bee hoon while ah Lar like the apple pie!

Went to the swimming pool for some tanning before we packed up & say bye bye to Bintan =(
The water of the pool is clean, with some ornaments rocks and a corner where they have massaging nozzles!

After the tanning, before departing. It's packing time!

Hmm, yes we were suppose to bathe and pack up real soon because the transfer bus to the ferry is reaching soon! But......simply don't care because it's cam-whoring time!!!! =p

As a result of the "unnecessary" time wasted, we missed the bus.
we had to book a taxi to catch the ferry that costs us S$15.

And most importantly is, I didn't do any shopping! Do you know why? Because Bintan's thing is freaking expensive!!  And the boutiques fail to arouse any of my shopping addiction, simply because whatever they have, we also have in SG. So people, don't waste your time and $$ buying things there. Only those filthy rich and dumb Ang mo would patronize...

We didn't try out much water sports or snorkeling because only 2 of us and really not much people around the resort. Next time probably! =D

This trip definitely gave an injection of satisfaction to my mundane life. I promised to myself the next trip will be longer and more fulfilling! *勾勾手*

Nonetheless, reality is cruel...

The hardest part after getting over a long holiday is getting my butt back to work! (but that's the only way to another longer trip, endure!)

I seem to have a problem going to work.

I leave the house 7.15am. 15 mins to drive to the nearest bakery to get a bread and a cup of bubble tea(die, seems like I am hook to a cup every morning. No more!), 1 hr to drive to work.

If the jam is reasonable and usual enough, it takes only 50 mins to reach pandan road, but if an accident, car spoiled, road works, lane close due to unknown reason etc along any part of my journey, I will be f**king late for work. Pardon for my vulgarities but it is really getting on my nerves!

For instance, forgotten which day, there was a morning I heard from the radio that BKE (PIE) has very heavy traffic and Chua Chu Kang as well.(i am travelling from Yishun and no erp charges for this route, happy enough) I was pondering in the car for a few mins thinking alright since that's the case, then I shall pay $3.80 for 2 gantries by going from CTE(city) then AYE then exit clementi ave2. I thought once in a while pay Erp is ok lah since I don't want to be late.

When my car drove pass the gantry and the sound "teng" was crystal clear so was the sound of my heartache... But I still tell to myself "it's ok, I'm gonna be early for work. Soon Soon expressway with no traffic light"

LIAR LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE!

Who say by paying ERP, travelling will be faster?? It took me a good 75mins to get out of that expressway and another 5 min to reach! I was late for 20 mins!! Can you imagine the kind of depression I have especially after paying 4 bucks thinking it will bring me to my destination earlier than stipulated time instead, I was later than usual! I should have stick to the old route, since i am going to be late anyway!

Look at the traffic condition, horrible...

Anyway, I am really not blaming anyone and felt sorry for whatever accidents that had happened on the road whatsoever. I just feel that I need to be more punctual for work, it really doesn't feel good to be late for averagely 3 days a week =_='''

This week is also a sickly week as you can see from my title, a sickly June... It started off with ah Lar's body-ache due to soccer follow by fever and unlimited mucus. Then it's my turn with fever, flu, headache plus seeing stars constantly. It has been since Wednesday for me even till now I still having slight fever and flu while writing this blog... Sob Sob...

This pic was taken on Wednesday afternoon when my sickness started off by bringing 2 group of customers to tour our showroom back to back without having any breakfast and lunch.

Drove home about 5pm feeling dizzy and really feel like crying out, reach home, bathe and Zzzzz.....
Luckily, Aunty Lucy cooked splendid porridge feast that cured my stomach. Thanks!

Somehow we managed to pull through and here comes the weekend! =D

Everyone is sleeping soundly(including him)... Guess I shall sign off here and rest my fingers by Bejewelling and watch my Discovery!

Good night people & enjoy whatever that is coming on your way to the fullest!

(Wish of the week: Plenty of new business! =x)
