Ginko nut with Barley & Bean curd skin

I usually don't like Chinese hot dessert like sesame, almond paste because it's too sweet and thick for me.

But there is this particular type which I love, Ginko nut with Barley & Bean curd skin. So far those that I have tried from hawker center, dessert shop were so-so only until yesterday...

'味香园' from Temple Street at Chinatown

Usually the soup is clear, but this one is milky white. It gave this extra fragrant taste to it. Not too sweet, definitely good for elderly as well.

The bean curd & ginko nuts weren't a lot but it blended so well together.

$2.50 a bowl was a little steep, but given the atmosphere and efficiency of the staff, I think it's still acceptable! =D

Beside traditional dessert, they offered a wide range of ice-blended snow flake, mango pomelo etc. Their ba-Chang, radish cake, yam cake & pumpkin cake looks very delicious as well...

A must try!

Their shop is located at Temple Street Chinatown opposite MacDonald. Looking for seats might take awhile if crowded but service is fast and efficient.

I always hear people say,
Dessert will make u feel happier and brighten up your day.

Hence, have a bowl of dessert after meal this weekend and tell me if it's true!
